Doubled the number of parcels that warehouse ships, with NO increase in warehouse head count.
APPROACH
- Reviewed and analyzed the existing work flow.
- Reorganized and relabelled the warehouse racks to more efficiently pick frequently-shipped items
Previously, the warehouse was organized by vendor
- Changed the pick, pack, and ship process to reduce movement.
- Implemented basic bar code scanning on outbound shipments
